Spinoff rendering engine

Spinoff is the Gaussian-splatting render engine behind an interactive spatial preview, with browser and Apple Vision Pro targets.

Scope & contribution

What I built.

Spinoff is my Gaussian-splatting rendering engine. It provides the rendering layer used by an interactive spatial preview while keeping the engine separate from the surrounding product interface. The current work spans a native browser implementation and an Apple Vision Pro target; the product that embeds the preview is intentionally omitted here.

01

Rendering engine

Built the Gaussian-splat rendering layer used by the interactive preview.

02

Browser backends

Implemented a native WebGPU path with a WebGL2 compatibility renderer.

03

Spatial target

Extended the renderer toward native Metal presentation on Apple Vision Pro and visionOS.
